Donald “Doug” Douglas Wilkinson, 58
Donald (“Doug”) Douglas Wilkinson, 58, of Columbia Falls, passed away at his home on Feb. 24, 2025. Doug was born to Don and Natha Wilkinson on August 28, 1966, in Alliance, Nebraska.
Doug graduated from Alliance High School and went on to study Human Resource Management at Hastings College. He then studied Mortuary Science in Kansas City and became a licensed Mortician. He moved to Omaha where he had his two boys, Steven (“Stevie”) Wilkinson and Daniel (“Danny”) Wilkinson. This is also where he made his final career change to appraiser.
In 2007 he moved to the Flathead Valley with his former wife and their two sons. He was a tremendous father and a massive supporter of everything his sons did. From football and rugby games to concerts and plays, Doug never missed an event in the 15 years his boys attended Columbia Falls Schools. He truly inspired everyone around him to love each other and enjoy the little things in life.
Doug was a lover. One of the many things he loved was maintaining social connections with friends and family, close or far, and he always strived to create new ones.
He always found a way to make people laugh and smile. He also loved sports, both watching and competing, and was an avid fan of the Nebraska Cornhuskers and the Kansas City Chiefs. He showed appreciation for life by capturing countless moments through photography. What he may have loved most were his pets, especially his dogs Rusty and Callie, and many more throughout the years.
Doug is survived by his two sons (Stevie and Danny Wilkinson), two dogs (Rusty and Callie), two brothers (Chris and Kevin Wilkinson), and his mother (Natha Wilkinson). He is preceded in death by his father (Don Wilkinson), his brother (Steve Wilkinson), and many beloved pets.
