Free summer camps
Farming for the Future Academy at the Montana Veterans Home Garden will offer several free Science, Technology and Engineering camps for youths this summer.
June 16-20 Log Lamp Camp, where you make your own lamp from a log. (take home)
June 23-27 Rain Garden Camp (learn to how build a rain garden)
June 30-July 3 Pallet Folding Camp Chair (take home)
July 7-11 Merino Felted Socks Camp (take home)
All camps run 9:30 a.m.-noon at 400 Veterans Drive, Columbia Falls.

CFAC meeting
The Trustees are extending the public comment period for the Draft Natural Resource Damage Assessment Plan for the Anaconda Aluminum Co. Columbia Falls Reduction Plan (Columbia Falls Aluminum) Superfund Site. Comments will be accepted until 11:59 p.m. on July 23, 2025.
In addition, the Trustees will be holding a public meeting to discuss natural resource damages at the Site and present the Draft Assessment Plan. The meeting will be held at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, June 10 at The Hub at 533-1st Ave East in Columbia Falls. There will also be a remote option to attend the meeting via Microsoft Teams.
