The Blotter: Seems like there were a lot of people hitting each other

Feb. 10

A woman from Michigan said someone stole her credit card. Report of fistfight between mom and 14-year-old child. Report of an argument between parties, one of which had an ax. No injuries, no charges.



Feb. 11

Theft on a bicyclist circling a building. A woman was asleep in her rig parked on the sidewalk, but apparently was not drunk.



Feb. 12

Kid skipped school because teachers were “hard on him.” 



Feb. 13

Report of a man on something in a business bathroom. He eventually left on foot. Fed Ex truck hit some powerlines.



Feb. 14

Green Subaru driving too fast on First Avenue. Party said it happens every time it snows. 



Feb. 15

A car was cited for habitually parking in handicap spot on Bills Lane. Kids were either smoking or doing drugs, caller said. Kids caught spinning doughnuts in parking lot. They were cited. Theft at Super 1. Mom made the kid take the stuff back to the store.



Feb. 16

Report of dogs outside barking for six hours. A sixth grader said she was being chased by other kids and fought with two other girls, then called police.



Feb. 17

Reporting party said he her stepfather “beat the crap” out of her sister, but it looked like she had been slapped, rather than punched and no one else in the house saw it.



Feb. 18

Stray dog kept going in building every time someone opened the door. It was taken to the pound. Caller claimed a woman was driving with a suspended license and likely had a child on board.



Feb. 19

Male and female throwing things at each other and hitting each other on Cowboy Drive. Report of a male hitting a female, the family was homeless.



Feb. 20

Report of kids living in squalor. While the house was messy, it had running water, heat and food. Not a crime to be poor. Report of chain saw and other items stolen from rig on Nucleus Avenue.



Feb. 21

A man allegedly threatened suicide by cop if a woman divorced him. He left the house and police took firearms out of home for safe keeping. A man who had too much to drink was choking.



Feb. 22

Truck allegedly rear ended a car and then took off. Drunk driver reported stumbling out of pickup truck. Police caught him. 


Feb. 23

Report of teen thrown against the wall and whipped with a belt.



Feb. 24

Caller said they heard at least 10 loud booms. But no smoke or fire.
