The Canyon has two less bars this year as the Dam Town Tavern and Packer’s Roost have closed.
Organizer Ben Shafer said there will be a host of food trucks Saturday and about 60 racers total. Last year races went almost to dark and it’s expected the same this year.
Parking is always at a premium and folks are urged to park in Hungry Horse and take a free shuttle or at the Dew Drop Inn. The shuttle will run from 10 a.m. to midnight.
Buttons for entrance are $5 and support the Canyon Kids Fund. There are two memorial buttons – one for longtime supporter Peg Wagner and one for racer Kolton King. Both passed away last year.
In addition to shirts and other official merchandise, event hats will also be available for sale.
