The Flathead Valley Chapter of Citizens’ Climate Lobby is hosting the Third Annual Earth Day Expo, made possible by signature sponsor Northstone Solar. Join them Saturday, April 19 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Flathead Valley Community College for a day of learning, action, and fun.

This year’s theme, “Healthy Planet, Healthy Community,” highlights how sustainability and clean energy benefit both people and the planet. Attendees can explore an EV Showcase, participate in hands-on workshops, visit interactive booths, and join engaging panel discussions on energy, climate, and conservation.

A major highlight of this year’s Expo is keynote speaker Mariah Gladstone, founder of Indigikitchen, a platform dedicated to revitalizing Indigenous food systems. Mariah will lead three scheduled sessions, including a kids’ cooking workshop, highlighting the connection between traditional foods, health, and sustainable practices.

“We’re excited to bring together local leaders, businesses, and families to celebrate solutions that create a healthier, more resilient community,” said Angie Winter, CCL Flathead Valley Group Leader. “This event is about taking action, whether it’s learning how to save money with energy-efficient upgrades or advocating for meaningful bipartisan climate policies.”

The Expo also features live raptors from Montana Wild Wings, a collaborative community art mural, and plenty of hands-on activities for kids and families. Local experts and businesses—including the signature sponsor Northstone Solar, and platinum sponsors Carbon Recall, and Pioneer Heating and Cooling — will be on hand to share practical ways to save money and reduce pollution.

The Earth Day Expo is free and open to the public.
