Community Choir concert coming up soon

| April 6, 2025 8:05 AM

The Columbia Falls Community Choir  will perform its spring concert at the Columbia Falls High School Little Theater on Saturday, April 12 at 7 p.m.

This year’s concert features music to “Celebrate Family and Friends.”  Many of the songs express caring, love, and appreciation for someone else we have met in our lives. “In Meeting We Are Blessed” is an a cappella selection accompanied by an African drum called a Djembe.  Musical theatre selections will include “Look to the Rainbow” from Finian’s Rainbow, “More I Cannot Wish You” from the musical Guys and Dolls. A love song from Savage Garden titled, “I Knew I Loved You,” offers yet another style of vocal music.  One of the choir’s favorite songs is called “The Family We Find Along the Way.” This song expresses how we all have different types of families that play an important part of our lives. This song is accompanied by piano and cajon and is an instant earworm, singers say.

The concert is directed by Steven Holte and accompanied by Dawn Hashley.  A freewill offering will be accepted.  The freewill offering helps pay for the high school auditorium rental and buys music.
