Columbia Falls girls soccer hammered Libby 10-0 on Thursday, Sept. 20.

“We have a 24-hour rule where we process the previous game and then get back to work,” Clark said. “The girls were able to process the emotions and move on quickly. It’s a skill to move onto the next game like they do.”

Bella Mann and Isla Alexander scored in the first ten minutes. Tatiana Raymond assisted Onnika Lawrence for a goal in the 15th minute, while Alexander scored again in the 33rd minute.

Lawrence scored her second goal in the 40th minute, and then in the second half, Taylor Rodgers, Johns, Dorr, and Mann scored.

Columbia Falls had 24 shots, while Libby had one.

“Our challenge for the rest of the season is going through the film and looking at the trends and patterns,” Clark said. “You have to look at how you create chances, transition, finish, and your team’s identity. As a coach, we have to be ready to pivot.”

Clark added Dorr was very effective in the midfield, pulling the strings, so seeing her score was rewarding.

“Two goals in two games, she deserved those,” Clark said. “It’s really cool for the coaches to have so many weapons on offense. It’s hard for the other coach to handle an attack like that.”

Rodgers was also a standout at wingback. Annika Johns has also been great in the midfield as a freshman, and goalkeepers Erica Burguiere and Elaina Door have been outstanding at goalkeeper.

“We have just 16 kids on varsity, so everybody played at Libby,” Clark said. “But having the weapons and good players we have, it’s just a huge advantage to have the amount of depth that we do.”
