Dean Hagen, 91
At age 91, Dean Leroy Hagen of Columbia Falls, passed peacefully into the arms of the Lord on Aug. 30, 2024. He was born on June 29, 1933 to Carl J. Hagen and Ella (Norman) Hagen in Dooley, Montana.
Dean is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Clariss, of almost 71 years; sons Rick (Lisa) Hagen, Robbin (Sandy) Hagen; daughters Debbie (Marty) Knox, Kelly (Bo) Jimenez, Conni Burns (Doug Dougherty); 12 grandchildren and 10 great- grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Inez Ault, Chester, Kerel and Norman Hagen.
Dean’s life reflected that,
“You can always tell a Norwegian, you just can’t tell him much!” True to his Norwegian heritage, he loved lefse, klub, kringlers, and lutefisk (only occasionally – Uff Da!)
Dean retired from the Columbia Falls Aluminum Plant after 19 years. Being an extremely skilled carpenter and all-around handyman, he mastered pounding a nail in ONE swing!
He built and remodeled numerous homes in the area. He was also a loving husband, father and grandfather as well as a very proud American.
A family celebration of Dean’s life has already taken place. We miss and love him dearly but are comforted that he “will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.” (Psalm 23)
