City will hold housing study workshop

The Columbia Falls planning commission will have a housing workshop at 6 p.m. Sept. 12 at city hall.
The commission will meet with WSW Consulting, the firm recently hired by the city to complete a housing study here.
WSW has done housing studies across the west, including one for the resort community of Jackson Hole, Wyoming in 2022.
The workshop will go over the scope of the Columbia Falls study, along with its goals and outcomes. Like all planning commission meetings, it is open to the public.
The housing study is mandated by the Montana Land Use Planning Act, which was passed by the 2023 state Legislature.
