The Blotter: High speed chase ends in arrest
Oct. 24
A person complained that a 7-year-old was being left alone. The mother said she checked on the child when he gets home from school and stops by the house during her lunch break. A person accidentally opened a package sent to the wrong house and then tried to give it to the right party but they got mad because it was opened. No harm, no foul, it looks like.
Oct. 25
A child broke an ankle on Talbott Road. A person wanted to donate tools to the skate park after a report of them being stolen. Truck said it was sideswiped by another rig that left the scene near Smith’s. Possible drunk driver on Highway 2.
Oct. 26
Report of shots fired on 13th Street. Kids were playing football near the high school. No crime there.
Oct. 27
Neighbor witnessed what they thought was unusual activity near a home where a person had recently died.
Oct. 28
Report of kids peeing in the lot near the Nite Owl on a tree.
Oct. 29
Report of a person that pulled up to a car and started bashing in its windows with a baseball bat. Report of bears getting at meat scraps from a dumpster. Bear was scattering trash in the road.
Oct. 30
Report of a grown son making threats after parents kicked him out of house.
Oct. 31
Truck rolled over on River Road. Male had injuries to face and arm. Dispute over a “borrowed” truck got tense, but police did not find a gun that was allegedly used. A woman asked police to take her to jail. They told her she had to commit a crime for that to happen.
Nov. 1
Man lost a wallet at a store. It was found, but $300 cash lighter. Possible trespassing on Aluminum Drive. A possible runaway juvenile after parents couldn’t find him after football game.
Nov. 2
A man who was allegedly threatening to kill people in the valley sent police on a high-speed chase. He was successfully stopped on near Hodgson Road and taken to jail.
Nov. 3
A mother wanted a daughter removed from her house after the daughter tried to throw water on her and she pushed her away and the water went all over the TV. No crime committed and no word on how the TV reception is after the fact.
