Park Provisions is the kind of place where you might grab lunch on the way to Glacier National Park along with any supplies you may have forgotten. It’s also a refuge for the weary and hungry traveler who just wants a ready-to-bake meal they can pop in the oven after a long day in the hills.

The new restaurant and supply house is located in a familiar spot on Highway 2 in Coram, which was formerly the Glacier Grill.

Stacey and Seth Schnebel, who own have owned the Stonefly Lounge for the past 15 ½ years just down the street recently purchased the building and renamed it Park Provisions.

The concept is three-fold, a fresh grab and go market, a sit-down restaurant where you can grab a sandwich or a steaming hot bowl of pasta, and a camp and picnic store full of trip essentials.

The couple got the idea several years ago when floating down the Grand Canyon. The guide packed their coolers with delicious and nutritious meals in such a way that they thawed out and were ready to heat up on their nine-day journey.

The same applies with Park provisions. Yes you can get a meal immediately, but they will also have meals you can take home and pop in the oven, like broccoli and cheddar casserole or meatballs, cavatappi and fresh mozzarella, or a fantastic chicken pot pie.

“It’s simple and its fresh,” Stacey notes. “Made from identifiable ingredients.”

The restaurant will also have a full liquor license so people can buy alcohol and take it home with them from the restaurant or drink it there.

Folks can also order ahead of time online, and if they’re planning a summer excursion for example, even a month ahead.

“We offer a convenience factor without sacrificing quality,” they said. “Seth and I have been working on this concept for a decade.”

They note they’re also one of a number of family-owned businesses in Coram, which is becoming a hub of activity for locals and visitors alike. The store is open all year and currently has hours from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily.
