| May 1, 2024 2:00 AM

Western Montana’s Glacier Country, the official tourism marketing, management and stewardship organization for Western Montana, will be hosting a town hall meeting at Cedar Creek Lodge on Wednesday, May 8, from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m.

The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the Glacier Country Destination Stewardship Plan and to gather resident input on challenges, opportunities and strategies for the community regarding visitors and tourism.  The town hall is one of eight being held in each county in the Glacier Country region.

“These gatherings are more than just meetings; they are a platform for dialogue, understanding and collective action,” said Racene Friede, Glacier Country’s President and CEO. “Now more than ever, this is an important and dynamic time to be in the tourism industry. Hundreds of businesses in our eight-county region depend on tourism and visitors for their livelihood, yet we need to maintain a balance with the resident sentiment,” she added. “Glacier Country is focused on ensuring economic sustainability while preserving the quality of life for residents and quality of place for visitors and residents alike.”

The town hall on May 8 is open to the public, specifically residents of Flathead County, and includes free dinner. For more information on future town halls and to register for this meeting, go to https://partners.glaciermt.com/news/3258
