NO. 1784 NOTICE OF LOCATION AND METHOD FOR COUNTING MAIL BALLOTS Notice is hereby given by the undersigned Clerk of Columbia Falls School District No. Six, Flathead County, State of Montana that Ballots for the School Election held on the 7th day of May, 2024, will be counted at the following location commencing May 6th, 2024: Flathead County Election Office Sperry Conference Room 290 B North Main Street Kalispell MT 59901 And these Ballots will be counted using the following method: Count Board Pursuant to Montana Code Annotated 13-15-112 a Counting Board comprised of three (3) election judges will begin the process of separating the secrecy envelopes from the signature envelopes as well as separating the ballots from the secrecy envelopes commencing at 9 AM on Friday, May 3, 2024. This same process will resume at 9 AM on Monday, May 6, 2024 as well as Tuesday, May 7, 2024. Pursuant to Montana Code Annotated 13-19-312(3), two (2) Election Judges will begin feeding the ES&S ballots into the tabulators on Monday, May 6, 2024 at 12 P.M. This same process will resume again on Tuesday, May 7, 2024 at 6 P.M. This procedure will entail use of the high-speed, digital scan, ES&S DS850 Ballot Tabulator Machine. Any person observing the procedures of the count is required to take the oath provided in 13-15-207(4) and is subject to 13-35-241 Resolution Board One (1) Election Judge will resolve any ballots unable to be tabulated by the machine.   Public test of tabulators and ExpressVotes election equipment including a pre-election (acceptance and public) test and a random test on Election Day. The public test will be conducted at the County Election Office-Sperry Conference Room located at 290 North Main Street, Kalispell on Wednesday, April 24, 2024 at 9:00 AM. The Election Day equipment test will be conducted at the same location on May 6, 2024 at 11:30 AM.   Additionally, an Elections Systems and Software (ES&S) ExpressVote ballot marking system will be available for the School Election at the following location: 501 6th Avenue West.
