NO. 1779 ADVERTISEMENT The Columbia Falls School District is seeking sealed proposals from a qualified contractor to replace the existing roof and add interior structural trusses for the classroom (East) wing of the Columbia Falls High School. The existing roof is structurally deficient and is currently being secured through temporary trusses. The selected contractor will be required to coordinate and facilitate work with a separate classroom ventilation HVAC project that is already in progress that will need to be completed prior to September 30, 2024. Funding for the roofing project has not yet been secured. The District’s Board of Trustees authorized a building reserve levy for voter approval through an election to be held on May 7, 2024. Accordingly, the Board of Trustee’s approval of a qualified contractor and execution of a contract for work is contingent upon approval by the electors for the building reserve levy. The selected contractor may commence initial work on the project upon Board approval after a successful levy election to be conducted May 7, 2024. Actual construction may commence prior to the last day of school on June 7, 2024, as long as there is minimal disruption to the classroom learning environment. Construction on the roofing project must be substantially complete by August 26, 2024. Interested proposers may obtain the Request for Proposals at the Columbia Falls School District Administration Office, 501 6th Ave. West, Columbia Falls, MT 59912, or by visiting the District’s website: https://www.cfmtschools.net. Clarifying questions may be submitted in writing to Tyler Tonjum, Jackola Engineering, at ttonjum@jackola.com. 406-755-3208. Responses to this Request for Proposal must be submitted in compliance with the requirements of the Request for Proposal and must be received at the Columbia Falls School District Administration Office at the address listed above until April 1, 2024, at 3:00 pm, MST. FAX RESPONSES, INCOMPLETE RESPONSES AND RESPONSES RECEIVED AFTER THAT DATE AND TIME WILL BE DEEMED NON-COMPLIANT WITH THIS RFP AND WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. From the list of interested and qualified candidates, the District will select the individual or firm which is best qualified and best suits the District's needs and intent regarding the project. This request for proposals does not commit the Board of Trustees for Columbia Falls School District to enter into any agreement, or to pay any expenses incurred in the preparation of any response to this request, or to ultimately procure any contract for the provision of these services. The Board of Trustees expressly reserves the right to waive any formalities and to reject any or all proposals. March 13, 20, 2024 MNAXLP __________________________
