Shannon Rice, 56

Shannon Marie Rice, 56, passed away peacefully on Dec.  28, 2023 due to a long illness. Shannon was born in Colorado Springs, Colorado on Oct. 26, 1967 where she grew up with her mother and father Sharon and Fredrick.  

After high school she worked as a housekeeper and at Goodwill.  In 2000 she embarked on her first great adventure and moved to Whitefish, and then to Hungry Horse.  Shannon had a love for cats and her grandson whom she raised and mentored for the last 10 years.  

Shannon is survived by her husband Mark, grandson Marcus, daughter Samantha, and her sister Kelly.  She was laid to rest in Woodlawn Cemetery in Columbia Falls. Columbia Mortuary is caring for the family.
