Speech and debate wins again

The Wildcat Speech and Debate team brought home their eighth tournament win this weekend at the Yeti Tournament at Glacier High School.  

The tournament was attended by Class A and AA schools from Missoula, the Flathead Valley, and from Washington State and provided  the opportunity for competitors to crossover and compete in both speech and debate events or to maximize the number of events in a round.  It was a fantastic conclusion to our undefeated regular season competition, coach Dawn Roe noted.

The team has a week off before it travels to Stevensville for the Western Divisional Tournament on Jan. 20.

Kynsleigh Gould and Eleanor Hollingsworth 1st in Policy Debate

Boone Shanks and Lauren Rogers 4th in Policy Debate

Ruby Davis and Makinzie Taylor 4th in DUO Interp

Chris Daenzer and Quinn Caudle 6th in Public Forum Debate

Carson Settles & Reed Wollenzein 6th in DUO Interp

Kajsa Mohr and Lucas Counts 7th in DUO Interp

Carson Settles 7th in Informative

Eleanor Smiley 7th in Memorized Public Address
