Jan. 22

A woman called police after she sold a rig and forgot to take the plates. The new owner had racked up $1,000 in toll fees in Washington. Shoplifting reported at Super 1 Foods. A business had a water leak and water was flowing out of the door.

Jan. 23

A person reported another person went into his building, stole $7,000 worth of snowboard stuff and used Fentanyl. Police are investigating. Complaint of a “ditch dong” at Eddy Court.

Jan. 24

A Jeep was driving recklessly. A man called police claiming his wife was missing and was in a hospital in Montana, as she had been allegedly attacked.

Jan. 25

Dump truck and car collided on Highway 2. No injuries. Report of a dog barking for a solid week.

Jan. 26

A woman called to say her ex-husband dropped off her son at 5:30 a.m. before she was even awake. This is not a crime, police noted. Someone called to complain about young kids in a rig without car seats. A person called to complain that someone was selling prints of his father’s paintings. A party started throwing snowballs at a house because the dog wouldn’t stop barking.

Someone found a purse. it was returned to the owner. Report of a suspicious person on Karen Road, trying a home’s screen door.

A person called to say they were being followed by a red car. 

Jan. 29

A DUI was called in on a brown Buick heading south on Nucleus Avenue, the driver allegedly involved in an earlier vehicle hit and run. 

Jan. 30

A barking dog was reported for three hours of disturbance on Twelfth Avenue. A disturbance was called in on Eleventh Avenue after a neighbor yelled at the caller’s husband and people working on the house over their barking dog. 

Jan. 31

A woman on Highway 2 called police after her sister hit her on the back of the head, refused an ambulance. A male was informed of trespassing after using a credit card to get into a Seventh Street storage facility and sleep there. A Fourth Avenue resident reported that his former employer threatened his wife and in-laws after the caller filed a suit against him for failing to pay his salary.

On Tallent Lane, a man called after his ex-wife told him her new boyfriend hit her in the head with a stick, the couple was unable to be located.

A vehicle was reported stolen on Ninth Street, the car was recovered.

Two runaway juveniles were reported, a boyfriend and girlfriend. On Second Avenue, a potential case of abuse was reported, with a woman bruised on her arms and wrists; the suspect, her boyfriend, allegedly left the local area.

A taxidermy coyote was placed in a Nucleus Avenue snowbank, police were asked to remove it. On Seventh Street, a caller reported an unknown woman in his garage, who he locked in while calling police. A car accident on Diane Road resulted in a vehicle fire. A man in Hungry Horse reported a gun shot from a blue car, law enforcement was unable to confirm details and the man did not provide a written statement.

A woman reported that after flashing a man her breasts, he took a screenshot and threatened to share the picture and harm himself if she told police.
