Grapplers down Polson
Columbia Falls picked up a 41-36 dual victory over Northwest A Conference foe Polson on Tuesday, Dec.17. The Wildcats notched six pins in the matchup.
At 126 pounds, Octavious Christianson pinned Polson’s Clairmont in 1:08. At 132-pound pounds, Bradley Beck pinned Polson’s Corben Carlson in 13 seconds. Fisher Whitaker won the 144-pound bout by pinning Polson’s Loui Mohr in 26 seconds.
At 165 pounds, Dylan Delorme pinned Polson’s Ryatt Maley in 4:39, while Winslow Peter notched a victory at 190 pounds in 3:21. At 285 pounds, Rowdy Crump won his match over Polson’s Durai Mahkuk via fall in 1:03.
Three Place at CMR Holiday Classic
Columbia Falls had three placers at the CMR Holiday Classic against tough AA competition and other quality A schools over the weekend in Great Falls.
Dylan Delorme was seventh at 165 pounds, winning his first three matches and in the seventh place match, picking up a 4-0 decision over Frenchtown’s Branch Martin. Delorme had two pins and a major decision.
Rowdy Crump placed fifth at 190 pounds, winning his first three matches, and scoring a forfeit victory over Great Falls’ Gage Allen in the fifth-place match. Crump had two pins on the weekend.
Samantha Larsen was sixth at 155 pounds in the girls tournament, ripping off six straight victories in the consolation bracket and having seven wins overall. Larsen had five pins on the weekend and a technical fall.
