This year’s Wildkat volleyball team is looking competitive as they start their fall season with four returning starters to the varsity squad along with a cast of strong talent all the way down to the freshmen level.
The Wildkats will have their eyes set on the state tournament as they started practice a couple weeks ago, hard at work to reach their goals of postseason play, coach Jolandie Brooks said.
Three underclassmen will be starting for the Wildkats this season and what they lack in age they certainly make up for in competitiveness. The strong leadership of five seniors will provide a great foundation for this year’s team, they are hungry for a bid at state, Brooks noted.
Look for good things from Kamryn Ladenburg, Sadie Cheff, Ailish Hanley, Ashlyn Dunham, Anabell Middlesworth, Rylee Sweeney, Eloisa Middlesworth and Emalee Alton, just to name a few.
The Wildkats will have their work cut out for them as Whitefish and Bigfork will also be sporting strong teams this fall.
The Kats are ready for the challenge and eager to get the season started. The Kats open the season at the tip-off tournament in Frenchtown this weekend.
