Spikers lose to Frenchtown in four

The Columbia Falls volleyball team dropped a hard-fought match to Frenchtown Thursday at home in four sets, 18-25, 25-23, 23-25 and 16-25.

The Wildkats had 27 kills and nine aces in the loss.

Emalee Alton had seven kills to lead the Wildkats, while Ellie Stutsman had five aces and four kills.

Sadie Cheff had two blocks.

“It was a hard fought game, with a lot of back and fourth from both sides,” coach Jolandie Brooks said.

The Kats faced Bigfork at home Tuesday after presstime and then Libby Thursday on the road.
