Free meals
Columbia Falls Community Kitchen will be serving a free meal 6 p.m. on Oct. 30 only this month at St. Richard Catholic Church. It will not be serving on Halloween, Oct. 31. We are nondenominational and everyone is welcome.
Halloween on Nucleus
Businesses up and down Nucleus Avenue will have treats for Halloween kiddos from 5 to 7 p.m. Oct. 28.
Museum talks
On Oct. 20 at 9 a.m., The Columbia Falls Historical Society is having Coffee with the Museum at The First Baptist Church in Columbia Falls. On Nov. 14 the museum is having Bill Workman speak about his experiences packing 40 years, into the Bob Marshall Wilderness. Also there will birthday cake with Stu Sorensen beginning at 6 p.m. at the Senior Center in Columbia Falls. The events are free and open to the public.
Halloween in
Hungry Horse
The Huckleberry Patch in Hungry Horse will be hosting Halloween activities from 1 to 4 p.m. Oct. 28, with pumpkins for kids to carve, a decorating contest, face painting and games. Hosted by the community, the fire department and the Huckleberry Patch.
Educators sought
Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks is hiring contract educators across Montana to teach standardized lessons on fish identification and habitat, fish art, water distribution, bear awareness, living with wildlife, and much more.

Craft sale
The Columbia Falls Women’s Connection fall fundraiser will be held Saturday Oct. 28 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church gymnasium located at 827 9th Street West in Columbia Falls. Various craft and art items will be featured; along with homemade baked and canned goods. A silent auction will be held for items donated from area artists and businesses. Lunch will be served with soup, bread and pie for a donation. Affiliated with Stonecroft Ministries.

Gather with fellow wilderness enthusiasts and celebrate this incredible wild place we’re lucky to have in our backyard. Our annual gala features tons of fun, including:

A chance to Meet the Mules who help us in the Bob

Silent auction with an amazing selection of wilderness adventures, handcrafted goods, outdoor gear, local getaways, art and gifts. Most items are exclusively available in person at the BobFest, but we will have a small online silent auction too for our friends who are further away!
