Chamber’s Harvestfest in Hungry Horse October 21
The Columbia Falls Area Chamber of Commerce will hold its first annual Harvestfest celebration on Saturday, Oct. 21 in Hungry Horse at Canyon Elementary School. Events will include a childrens’ costume parade, cornhole tournament, pie auction and pie eating contest, kid’s corner, cake/pie/prize walks, free chili lunch, chili cook-off, and plenty more fall activities.
Entry is free and open to the public.
Here’s a look at some of the events:
Noon: Children’s Costume Parade (Wear your costume and join in the parade around the event.)
Noon-3 p.m. : Free chili lunch (until they run out)
Additional Paid Events (but free to watch):
Cornhole Tournament (12-3 p.m.): $20/team, advanced and non-advanced brackets available. Cornhole tournament will be ran by the Badrock Baggers.
Pie Auction: (11 a.m.-2:30 p.m.) Bring a pie, and/or bid on a pie. Half of the proceeds donated back to the Hungry Horse community
Pie Eating Contest (Starts at 1:30 p.m.) $5/entry
Chili Cook Off: Enter your business’s or your personal chili into the chili cook-off contest. Chili will be judged between 11 a.m. and noon. First place wins $75, 2nd place $50, and third place $25. After the contest, all chill is served for free to overall event attendees so be sure to bring plenty so they can feed the community.
