Governor wasn’t listening on 442

| May 10, 2023 6:35 AM

Gov. Greg Gianforte recently vetoed Senate Bill 442. This legislation would use money from marijuana tax revenues to help fund county road construction and maintenance and wildlife habitat improvement, water conservation, weed management and public access. This bill received broad support. The Montana House of Representatives passed it 82 to 17 and the Senate 48 to 1. It’s pretty unusual to get that kind of agreement on anything. The people and their representatives spoke, but one guy wasn’t listening.
