Columbia Falls man dies after being hit by vehicle at Blue Moon intersection

A Columbia Falls pedestrian is dead after he was hit by a vehicle at the Blue Moon intersection of Highways 2 and 40 about 2:07 a.m. Saturday morning.

The man was later identified as Robert Dewbre, 21, according to Flathead County Sheriff Brian Heino.

Montana Highway Patrol is investigating the accident. They did not immediately respond to requests for more information on the incident, but according to police logs, Dewbre was crossing the road from the Blue Moon to the Town Pump, which is across Highway 2 to the south.

He died at the scene.
