Columbia Falls swimmers win Cut Bank meet

| June 28, 2023 7:25 AM

The Columbia Falls Swim Team was back in the pool last weekend at their third meet of the season in Cut Bank. With 51 swimmers in the pool, the team brought home a first-place finish for the second time in the 2023 summer season and 1,080 total points scored.

“Our team has been looking very strong the last few weeks. We are making big pushes in championship swims and keeping our disqualification rate low. Our disqualification rate was 10% this weekend with 12 brand new swimmers in the pool. Every week I witness our team growing by leaps and bounds and I couldn’t be more proud of this group of kids,” coach Kyle Babcock said.

High point winners in their age category for the day were:

Raef Edwards (boys 8 and under)

Hadley Edwards (girls 9-10)

Catherine Opalka (girls 11-12)

The swim team has the next weekend off. The team is looking towards another great meet at home on July 8-9,. We hope the whole community comes out to support our many fantastic swimmers.
