Martin City woman killed in alleged hit-and-run

A Martin City woman was killed in an apparent hit-and-run in the rural Flathead County town early Sunday morning.

She was later identified as Kimberly Ann Gilham.

According to a report from Montana Highway Patrol, the fatal incident took place June 18 on Central Avenue in Martin City at about 1 a.m.

A 38-year-old man from Columbia Falls was a parked in a Chevrolet Silverado with Gilham when another man approached the vehicle and an argument started, the report states.

Gilham exited the pickup for unknown reasons and the man drove forward, running over the woman.

The pickup driver left the scene and the Gilham was taken to Logan Health Medical Center, where she died from her injuries.

The man's name was not made public in the report this time.
