Shed destroyed in fire

Columbia Falls firefighters responded to a shed fire on Dunwoody Lane Friday night about 11 p.m.

Columbia Falls Fire Chief Karl Weeks said the residents at the home were having a large bonfire which apparently blew embers into an open shed used to store cardboard.

The cardboard caught fire. The residents tried to get it out on their own, but were unable to. The shed burned down.

It could have caught a nearby shop on fire, but didn’t. It did, however, melt some of the Tyvek off the shop.
