Oppose River Highlands
Jan. 30th could be a pivotal point in the future of the community of Columbia Falls. What happens that evening will determine the future of a beautiful working class town of mostly hard working, multi-generational families. At 7 p.m. at Columbia Falls Junior High Cafeteria is a Columbia Falls City Council meeting to decide the fate of a proposed 343 unit (870 person) subdivision at the corner of River Road and Highway 2. The City County planning board made up of local residents unanimously denied the plan as proposed on Jan. 9th and forwarded it to the City Council. This board will then determine whether this atrocity will be built or not. Please attend the public hearing and state your views of this project. It is extremely hard to know all the details (100s of pages) that go in to a project like this so its hard to know how to address the council but your attendance is enough and if you would just tell the council you don’t want our communities character to change, it will send a strong message, the more residents that show up the stronger the message. It takes a village to protect each other so I humbly ask that you consider attending the city council meeting and let your voice be heard.
