Grapplers win Ronan title
Columbia Falls wrestlers took the championship at the Western Montana Ronan Invitational on Saturday.
The MaCats had individual championships from Justin Windauer (160), Winslow Peter (138), Tyler Gilfry (126) and Blaise Cronk (152).
Cash Byrd (120), Chris Rathjen (138), Brandon Role (182) all placed second, and Dylan Delorme (132) and Rowdy Crump (170) had third-place finishes.
Windauer remains undefeated on the season.
The MatCats beat Frenchtown for the title, 233-224.
The team had a dual at home against Bigfork Tuesday after presstime, then a triangular against Polson and Libby in Polson. But the biggest meet of the season, outside of state, is this Friday and Saturday with the Rocky Mountain Classic.
The Classic draws teams from across western Montana, Idaho and eastern Washington.
