Cabin Fever days is Feb. 10-12
The annual Cabin Fever Days and world famous bar stool races are coming up Feb. 10-12 in the canyon communities of Martin City, Hungry Horse and Coram.
This year, the main event — the bar stool races down Sugar Hill in Martin City — are only Saturday, not Sunday.
The bar stool races draw big crowds every year as race participants glide down Sugar Hill on everything from the traditional bar stool with skis attached to elaborate sleds.
Bar stool races start at 1 p.m. with finals at 4 p.m. Saturday. In addition to the races, there’s a “Mountain Man” competition at Packer’s Roost, an arm wrestling tourney at the Paul Bunyan Bar and a Ro-Sham-Bo Tournament at the Stonefly lounge.
The wrestling and mountain man competitions start at 4 p.m. and Ro-Sham-Bo at 4:30 p.m.
There’s also a host of live music, a pool and darts tournament, a shuttle so people can get back and forth to events and Super Bowl parties on Sunday.
The shuttle is $3 per person and the entrance fee to other events is $5. Proceeds benefit a host of Canyon charities. For more information, visit https://cabinfeverdays.com or follow it on Facebook and other social media.
