Swimmers compete at Great Falls

The Columbia Falls High School boys swim team placed fourth at the PreRelay Meet in Great Falls this weekend, the girls team placed eighth. The competition hosted both AA and A schools, and coach Amy Caudill was proud of her swimmers’ performances. 

“We had a strong showing, it was great to see the progress from last weekend to this weekend, it shows that the hard work and focus are paying off at the pool,” she said. 

Notable swims included Connor Keith, first in 200 freestyle and first in 100 Breaststroke, which he won by 14 seconds; Sadie Cheff, third in 100 Breaststroke and eighth 100 Freestyle; Thane Borgen, fourth in 100 Backstroke and eleventh in 200 freestyle; Avic Lime, fifth in 100 Backstroke; Quinn Clark, sixth in 100 Fly and eleventh 100 Freestyle; Teagan Bates, seventh in 500 Freestyle and eleventh 50 Freestyle; Kensley Cheff, seventh in 100 Backstroke and 12th in 200 freestyle; Kanen Brickert, ninth in 50 Freestyle; Tristan Victor ninth in 100 Breaststroke; Jackson Schubert 11th in 100 breaststroke; and Mya Badger 12th in 100 Fly.

The swimmers will race again on Jan. 5 at the Polson Invitational.
