Michael “Mike” Hascall, 74

| December 20, 2023 2:00 AM

A quiet unassuming man, Michael Hascall, 74, of Columbia Falls, quietly slipped into eternity with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, in Kalispell at the end of August.

Mike was born in Denver, Colorado and moved to western Nebraska shortly thereafter. Eventually the family moved to Oregon. Mike graduated from Silverton Union high school and went on to study drafting at Chemeketa Community College and Oregon Institute of Technology where he obtained his bachelor’s degree.

Mike worked in the telecommunications industry his entire career. He met his first wife, Karon, while working in Wyoming. They adopted a daughter, Alicia. Karon passed away too young. Mike met Sue at church in Kalispell. They married and later added another daughter, Beth, to the family.

Mike welcomed full retirement from his career at CenturyLink in Kalispell, spending time keeping the lawn up, doing genealogy, helping his wife with worship services at the West Glacier KOA and loving on his grandsons. Those five boys brought him great joy. Mike loved generously and was greatly loved. He also enjoyed cheering on the CFHS Wildcats.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Rodney and Janet, his in-laws and his first wife.

He is survived by his wife, Sue, daughter Alicia (Travis), grandsons Hunter, Austin and Gunner, and daughter Beth (Ron), and grandsons Ben and Matthew; his sister Alice, and many nephews, nieces, and cousins.

Mike was confident in his salvation and his eternal destination. We are positive he is safe in the arms of Jesus Christ. A celebration of life was held in September.
