Nov. 21
A woman reported suspicious activity on Beth Road, alleging that someone has been using her car without her permission due to full tanks of gas disappearing faster than expected and dog and cat hair in the interior.
Nov. 22
Reckless driving was reported on two boys being taught to drive by their father on 11th Avenue West. A violent disturbance was called in from Eighth Street with a man reportedly hitting a woman, the situation was deescalated and the man left to stay with his grandmother for the night.
Nov. 23
A shotgun was seized for safekeeping after a woman removed her ex-boyfriend’s belongings from her residence and left them outside, including the gun, on Ninth Street.
Nov. 24
Ammunition was stolen from a vehicle on View Drive overnight. Threats were reported between Columbia Falls High School students, where one was demanding information about the other’s friend and said, “He will have a gun waiting for him on Monday,” if he did not comply.
Nov. 25
A minor reported his manager gave him marijuana on Ninth Street, police collected and destroyed it.
Nov. 27
A caller asked if it was legal to use an airsoft gun on a raccoon pestering their cat on Sixth Avenue. License plates were stolen off a car on Ninth Street.
Nov. 28
On Talbot Road, a parent reported their child had been assaulted by another child, who was suspended from school after the incident. A suicide threat was called in from Gordon Avenue after a man and his mother got into an argument prompting him to hold an unloaded gun to his head and threaten to hurt himself, then leave the house, driving erratically. A dispatch for a man shot in Hungry Horse was changed to a mental health check when nothing suspicious was found and the caller displayed paranoid and delusional behavior. A man was reported for stalking on Vans Avenue after breaking into the caller’s camper and home and holding a gun up to his head at the house. Also on Vans Avenue, a man was trespassed after claiming he was going to set a camper on fire and running towards Crescent Avenue with a firearm reportedly in his waistband.
Dec. 1
A man was fired from Super 1 for distributing white supremacist propaganda and advised of a lifetime tresspass order for all Montana Super 1 stores, additionally flagged for carrying a firearm and handcuffs.
Dec. 2
A man called and threatened to file a lawsuit for slander, alleging his name and image had been posted all over Big Fork and Columbia Falls as a criminal suspect and sex offender. A paint sprayer was reported as stolen by the victim’s roommate on Fourth Avenue.
