August 14
An anonymous caller reported that a male driver in a maroon 2017 Nissan Titan was known to be drinking and driving. A trespass call was made on Seventh Avenue on a truck and camper trailer parked on the property owner’s rental lawn. A man was punched in the face by his step-daughter who broke glass and cut herself on Second Avenue, the man refused medical help and advised he would seek a mental health evaluation for the girl. On Martha Road, $1,300 and a computer were stolen from a woman by her boyfriend during the process of a breakup. A stolen mini excavator was recovered on Meadow Lake Boulevard.
August 15
A welfare check was called on a woman who appeared to be hunkering down in an alley off Nucleus Avenue, shoeless. A man was called in for a disturbance after pushing his girlfriend into the street off Nucleus Avenue during an argument about her cheating. On Talbot Road, officers were called to investigate the driver of a dark blue GMC Envoy accused of smashing fences, which ultimately was not substantiated.
August 16
Extra patrols were designated for Diane Road after three people were reported harassing a young man through his window and were unable to be located.
August 17
A man in a red Honda hatchback was called in for a hit and run on a Ninth Street fence.
August 18
A six-year-old boy with autism was reported running down the road on 12th Avenue and was reunited with his mother after she called him in missing. The playground wood chips caught fire on 12th Avenue and were reported to have reached a foot high, 20 yards in diameter about 100 yards from the school building. A disturbance of the peace was reported on Fourth Avenue when a wife hit her husband in the face with a pistol during a confrontation involving meth use. The gun was seized for safekeeping, and the man involved requested it back, rescinding the original report and agreeing to sleep in a hotel room for the night. He was counseled on the eviction process.
August 19
A person was cited for having no insurance and issued a warning on their drivers license after driving a trailer purchased on Facebook down Nucleus Avenue that was in contention with another state.
August 20
A group of juveniles was reported throwing rocks at people floating the river.
