Veterans reunion

On Sept. 2, the Cusicks will be hosting the 5th reunion for shipmates that served on the USS Coral Sea during the evacuation of Vietnam as well as supporting the recovery of the SS MAYAGUEZ. When the shipmates started reconnecting with each other, thanks to social media, many had not seen each other in 45-plus years. The first four reunions were hosted in New Mexico, Idaho, Arkansas, and Iowa and now Montana.

With the generosity from the Flathead and surrounding areas with donations, they will be having a silent auction with the proceeds going to the Columbia Falls Veterans’ Home.

All are welcome to join us them celebrating these honorable veterans Sept. 2 at 6 p.m. at the Home Ranch Bottoms Bar and Grill 8950 N Fork Road, Polebridge. Musician Tommy Edwards will be performing from 6 to 9 p.m.
