Swim team takes second at state meet

The Columbia Falls swim team took second at Conrad over the weekend, its best finish in 10 years.

The Wildcats won the divisional meet in Chester the week before.

Sidney won the state title.

The Cats swim team brought 59 swimmers to the state meet this year and earned a total of 798 points. The team also earned second place out of all teams in relay points. 

“I am extremely happy with how our kids swam this weekend. We have been working so hard all season and it all led to the team stepping up together in a major way to deliver a reward this team has not felt in a really long time,” coach Kyle Babcock said. “We saw some truly amazing swimming and these guys put it all on the line every time they stepped up on the blocks. It’s been about ten years since the team has performed this well at state and I am so very impressed with everyone.”
