Glacier Bank Boogie to the bank draws a crowd
Logan Hall of Colorado Springs won the 5K and Michael Laforest of Missoula won the 10K Boogie the Bank fun run Saturday during Heritage Days. The race, which is almost all downhill, drew 65 10K runners and 137 5K runners of all ages on a beautiful morning.
Top runners from Columbia Falls in the 5k were JT McEntyre, who took sixth with a time of 16:40 while Elizabeth Wasserman took eighth with 16:59.15.
Oliver Kress was 10th with a 17:09 and Quinn Clark was 14th with a 17:59.39.
In the 10K, the top Columbia Falls runners were Lucas “Hoot” Peterson, who took third with a 36:59.03 and Brad Dolesh who took fourth with a 38:02:67.
David Slama was ninth with a 41.31.77; while Maria Phelps clocked a 44:19.93 for 14th and Findley Dezzani had a 44:43 for 15th.
The event also drew 20 5K walkers. Bill Anderson at 85 was the oldest male runner while Shirley Voss at 77 was the oldest female runner.
