Tennis teams split last week
The Columbia Falls tennis teams split last week. The girls and boys were edged by Polson 4-3 Thursday, but beat Ronan Friday with the girls winning 4-0 and the boys 4-1.
Against Polson, Lexi Oberholtzer beat Piper Hoxie, 7-5, 6-3; Zoey Byrd beat Addison Bahr, 6-0, 7-6 (7-2) and Kya West dropped Kenzie Bartel, 6-0, 6-0.
The girls were blanked in doubles.
On the boys’ side, Jax Ramage dropped Tate Barentsen, 6-4, 6-2 and Logan Heupel lost a marathon match to Colter Wilson, 6-4, 5-7, 2-6.
In No. 3 doubles, Connor Zumalt and Jaegar Mohr beat Lachlan Sloan / Max Violett, 6-1, 6-1.
“We are getting better with every match played,” coach Michele Colliander said.
