Science quencher features interesting talks
The Whitefish Lake Institute is hosting a science quencher with a host of different speakers at the Whitefish Lake Lodge Friday, April 21, from 5 to 7 p.m.
There will be complimentary wine, beer and appetizers. The event is a fun way to kick off Earth Day.
Speakers include:
• Wendy Cole — Wolf Management Specialist, Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks: Dispersals and home range characteristics of wolves in northwest Montana.
• Christina Relyea — Professor of Natural Resources Conservation and Management at FVCC: A summary of Flathead Valley Community College aquatic restoration and natural resource undergraduate research projects.
• Paul Travis — Executive Director at Flathead Land Trust: The Owen Sowerwine Property, providing an interconnected network of open space and quality habitat at a landscape scale
• Chris Peterson — Editor and photographer at the Hungry Horse News. Winter Song: a short film on a small, protected river in northwest Montana
