Boys track does well at Kalispell Invitational

Malaki Simpson and Kai Golan went 1-2 at the Kalispell Time Trials last week in the 200 meters. Simpson clocked a 23.09 and Golan a 24.06 to lead the Columbia Falls track squad.

Finley Sunberg took fifth in the 800 with a 2.10. Quinn Clark was third in the 1,600 with a 4:55.88.

Adam Schrader was third in the 300 hurdles with a 43.03. The boys also won the 4-by-400 relay, with a time of 3:37.06.

Lane Voermans took second in the shot put with a throw of 43-9 and second in the discus with a 135-2.

Bryce Dunham was second in javelin with a 139-7.

Jace Duval was third in the long jump with a 20-4 and fifth in the triple.

On the girls’ side, Ally Sempf won the 200 with a 27.58. Siri Erickson took second in the 1,600, losing to Lili Rumsey Easch by .01 second.

Courtney Hoerner took fourth in the 3,200 with a 14.04.

At the Missoula Invitational, Simpson won the 100 meters; Schrader took fourth in the 300 hurdles and the boys were third in the 400 relay.

Sempf took third in the 200. Erickson was fourth in the 800.

The teams travel to Corvallis Thursday and then host the Iceberg Invite at home Saturday. Events start at 10 a.m.
