Girls cross country dominates at T-Falls
Siri Erickson won the Thompson Falls Invitational cross country meet last week and the girls had six runner in the top 10 to win the meet.
Erickson clocked a 20:15.58 in the win.
Marissa Schaeffer took fifth, Courtney Hoerner sixth, Mya Badger seventh, Ally Sempf ninth and Findley Dessani 10th to round out the scoring for the Kats.
The girls were all within a minute of each other — an important stat as the team gets ready for the postseason. If they can keep the pace, they have an excellent shot at some hardware.
On the boys’ side, Logan Peterson took sixth and closed the gap on Deneb Linton of Whitefish to just over 12 seconds. Linton has been one of the top class A runners in the West this season. Peterson clocked a 17:50.85.
Andrew Rush of St. Ignatius won the race.
Freshman River Blazejewski took 14th and Quinn Clark was 19th for the Cats, who took third as a team.
