The Columbia Falls girls soccer team lost to Whitefish last Thursday, 4-0 on the road. Despite the lopsided score, Columbia Falls coach Thomas Clark said there were positives in the Wildcats’ effort.
“The girls showcased the technical ability that program wide has gone up compared to years past,” he said.
But having said that, Clark noted that goals win games and Whitefish got on the board eary, scoring just four minutes into the game.
“It was just one of those days,” he said. The Bulldogs stifled Columbia Falls offense, with multiple clearances right inside the box. The Cats just couldn’t convert.
They’re still very much in the playoff hunt.
The Cats dropped Polson on the road Tuesday, 5-0.
They then face Libby on the road Friday.
