Boys soccer records two more shutouts

The goals keep coming. The Columbia Falls boys soccer team dropped Laurel 6-0 and Lockwood 10-0 on the road over the weekend.
On Friday the Wildcats were up on Lockwood 6-0 at the break.
Walt Nichols had a hat trick to lead the Cats, while Fin Sundberg scored twice and Dale Blickhan had a pair of assists.
River Wolford, Blickhan, Jack Harris and Connor Zumalt also had scores. The Cats outshot Lockwood 26-3.
Against Laurel, Sundberg had a hat trick while Nichols, Nico Lang and Kai Golan all had goals. It was Golan’s first game of the season coming off an injuury.
Sundberg also had two assists and Adam Schrader had three assists as well.
The Cats outshot the Locomotives 23-2.
They have just one game this week as they play Bigfork on the road Thursday. Gametime is 4 p.m.
In JV, the boys dropped Stillwater 10-0.
Silas Ypma and Trac Fainter each had hat tricks. Coach Cory Pete said the game was a bit closer than the score would suggest and keeper Rafe Rusche had some excellent saves in the win.
The varsity squad is now 4-0.
