The Columbia Falls girls cross country team took third in the state A championship meet Saturday in Missoula.

The girls were led by Siri Erickson, who took eighth with a time of 19:55. Mya Badger was 17th, Ally Sempf 18th, Courtney Hoerner 23rd, Marissa Schaeffer 32nd, and Ashley Andrews was 40th.

Hardin won the team title.

It was the second year in a row the Kats made it to the podium — last year they won’t the title.

Favorite Hardin easily won the title, taking the first three spots in the meet. Karis Brightwings-Pease was the overall winner.

The Columbia Falls boys took fifth.

Junior Logan Peterson had a nice race, taking eighth. He clocked a 16:47.3.

River Blazejewski was 21st, Lucas Peterson was 32nd, Quinn Clark 45th, Olver Kress, 48th, Johnathan Blankenship was 72nd and Hayden Mohr-Mead was 73rd.

Livingston won the boys title. Greyson Piseno, a freshman from Billings Central, won the race with a time of 16:16.3.

This story has been corrected. Lucas Peterson was inadvertently left out of the results.
