Columbia Falls Police Association Shop with a Cop coming up; donations sought
Hungry Horse News
Every holiday season the Columbia Falls Police Association hosts shop with a cop, where the department takes less fortunate children selected by the elementary schools on a shopping trip at Target in Kalispell. The store also gives the program a discount.
The program has been ongoing for years and helps a host of children and their families have a brighter holiday, as they shop for clothes and even a few toys. Kids also get to ride in a police rig en route to the store.
Folks who want to support it can make cash donations at the police department.
The annual shop with a cop event is Dec. 7. Super 1 Foods is also donating a dinner for the families.
This is the 21st year of the event.
In addition, the association is taking donations of new, unwrapped toys for the annual Toys for Tots program, which also helps less fortunate families provide toys for their children during the holiday season.
Lastly, the police association is also taking donations for animal toys and other items for the Flathead County Animal Shelter.
A complete list of items that are needed is on the Police Department’s Facebook page.
Folks can also mail to donations to the Shop with a Cop program at: CFPA at PO Box 2606, Columbia Falls, MT.
