Sempf takes second in pole vault

The Columbia Falls track squads competed in the state A track meet in Butte over the weekend. The boys took ninth and the girls took sixth.

Hannah Sempf was the top placer for the girls, taking second in the pole vault with a leap of 10 feet, 6 inches.

Ally Sempf took fifth in the 100 meters and third in the 200 meters. She was seventh in the 400 as well and 10th in the long jump.

Siri Erickson was ninth in the 3,200 meters. Courtney Hussion was seventh in the 300 hurdles. The Kats took fourth in the 400 relay and third in the 1,600 relay.

Madeline Stutsman was eighth in the discus and 10th in javelin.

Rebekah Walker took third in the triple jump.

On the boys’ side, Malaki Simpson took fifth in the 100. Jace Duval was ninth in the 200 and seventh in the long jump. The Wildcats took fifth in the 400 relay and third in the 1,600 relay. Lane Voermans was eighth in the discus and Bryce Dunham was third in the javelin.

Whitefish won the girls title, Dillon the boys.
