July 5
Nine juveniles were spotted in the bushes on Highway 2 shooting water guns at oncoming vehicles. A man was confronted by two males and harassed in Pinewood Park.
July 6
Columbia Falls Police were able to recover a stolen black purse in a theft that occurred earlier in the week. A party complained that Glacier Lanes Bowling Alley had the doors open and were playing music very loudly into the evening and had to “go to a friend’s house to sleep.”
July 7
Report of a pink bike being stolen on 7th Street. A party drove over a hole in the road on 3rd Avenue and complained about damage done to her vehicle. Party continued to complain about noises coming from Glacier Lanes.
July 8
An apartment renter reported smelling a strange gaseous odor coming from inside their home. A Mitsubishi backed into a black Toyota in a parking lot on Highway 2. A man allegedly doing drugs at a casino passed out a slot machine.
July 9
A lone black bear was spotted going through a residential trash can on Crescent Drive, was later chased into a tree and left alone. A man left his 9mm Smith & Wesson with police for safe keeping while he travels through Canada.
July 10
Report of a 16-year -old female swimmer passing out in the water at the Columbia Falls Community Pool, coaches were able to remove her from the water and resuscitate her before an ambulance arrived. An employee at a store on 9th Street was caught stealing on camera.
