Idaho woman dies in Columbia Falls crash

An Idaho woman is dead after a one vehicle accident about midnight Wednesday at the intersection of U.S. Highway 2 and Nucleus Avenue, the Columbia Falls Police said in a release Thursday morning.
The 26-year-old was found dead at the scene.
Excessive speed and alcohol are suspected in the crash, though the investigation is still ongoing, police said in a release. The vehicle went off Highway 2 and struck a tree in front of Glacier Bank.
The victim’s identity was not immediately released pending notification of kin.
