Cloverfest coming to Columbia Falls in March

The Columbia Falls Area Chamber of Commerce will do St. Patrick’s Day big this year with Cloverfest on March 12.

The event features a 5K race and fun run, live music, a host of tasty beverages and some fun games, all housed in a big heated tent in the Super 1 Foods parking lot.

“We wanted to have another festival for the community, especially in the off season,” said Chamber director Laura Gadwa.

The event runs from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. with main sponsorship from Pursuit Glacier Park Collection along with Lyle Mitchell State Farm and Glacier Bank.

Events include:

11 a.m-2 p.m Kids Carnival, free face painting, and live music from the Montana Bagpiper

11 am Cloverfest 5k

Noon Cloverfest Fun Run

1 p.m. live music, Sylvie and Nina Trio

2:30 p.m St. Patrick’s Day activities and games

4 p.m. live music, Swiftcurrent Trio

5:30 p.m. more St Patrick’s Day activities and games

7 p.m - 9 p.m. live music, The Montana Shamrockers.

Cost to enter the big tent is $10, with kids 5 and under free. The 5k race will start and end at Super 1 Foods as will the fun run. Featured distilleries and breweries inside the big tent include Scared Waters Brewing and Backslope Brewing as well as Glacier Distilling Company offering up some fine Irish drinks and beer.

Featured food trucks include Piroshki Palace, Montana Mountain Dawgs, 406 BBQ.

There will be plenty of games and competitions throughout the day, so brush up on your Irish dancing and trivia.

Cost to enter the 5k is $30 and includes a shirt. The fun run is $15 and includes a race shirt and swag bag from Hammer Nutrition. Dress in green as there will be a costume contest at the end of the race as well as other themed awards. Register by Feb. 28, to be guaranteed a race shirt.
