An unwanted guest who was renting a room in a house was refusing to leave. A Jeep ran into a snowbank on Highway 2. Apparently after a diabetic problem.

Feb. 3

Police checked on an elderly couple after their water bill was higher than normal. They said their hot water heat broke down, but other than that, they were OK. Problem with a client at an assisted living center.

Feb. 4

Report of a dead body in the trunk of a car that was burned up in Lincoln County. Police could not substantiate the claim.

Feb. 5

Librarian called to say a male was still in the bathroom and she was ready to close the place up. A person called to say their debit card was stuck in the machine, in case someone tried to steal it. A drunk visitor wrecked the neighbor’s gate at a vacation rental, but said he would fix it.

Feb. 6

A man got out of a pickup truck, started recording video of an officer and said he was bringing a civil suit against the department. Report of a dog jumping into another party’s car. It was returned to its owners. Folks had a big fight about a dog pooping in bedroom.

Feb. 7

Report of two cars abandoned in a parking lot. Garage fire on Fourth Avenue was knocked down quickly. Driver warned about doing “brodies” in a parking lot.
